If you are running a club trip, it will help to make things go smooth if the participants know the details of the trip.  Rather than fielding calls from everyone, below is a template of the details you could copy and paste into an email to the participants prior to the trip.

General Information:

-Please ensure you have all the mandated boating safety equipment: PFD, paddle (and a spare), bailer (bilge pump), 15 m floating line and whistle.

-Bring a lunch, plenty of snacks and drinks, rain gear, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat and a charged up cell phone.

-A change of clothes and a towel might be useful as well. A camera (take photos for the club website trip report), Insect repellant.

-I will have a small first aid kit, others would be useful as well.
