Training

altAll clinics and courses are run for the benefit of club members, to give you the skills to enjoy our great program of day and weekend trips.

We strongly encourage you to take courses to upgrade or fine tune your skills but you still need the experience on the water at your skill level to build your confidence.

If you are not sure of your ability, discuss it with the course coordinator before signing up.

All club training classes have limited capacity. Courses / clinics may be canceled if there are not enough students, and additional course may be scheduled based on demand. Contact the course coordinator as soon as possible if you are interested to avoid disappointment.

Club boats and equipment are available for free for courses. If the training location is not Confederation Pool or Rundle Paddling Centre you may have to arrange transportation for boats to and from the training site.

Below is a list of all the training the club normally runs. For dates, see the club schedule. Additional training courses may be offered by Paddle Alberta , Paddle Canada, or Alberta Whitewater Association.
